A Game of Spicy Ketchup

I'm not exactly sure of where I left whoever is remaining reading this, but alas, I'll give a brief timeline of what has passed.

Around May:

-started jamming with guitarist. We hang out, practice, or write songs 2-3 times a week from about this point on.
-I dye half my hair purple
-having a wonderful summer of campfires, swimming in the river, running along the trail

June:
-by this time we are jamming with a drummer and trying to get a band together, calling ourselves "The Unexpected". After a few weeks, and discussing what we want to do with this, the drummer only wants to do covers and maybe a few originals. Basically, creative differences leads guitarist and I to break off from drummer.
-around this time I was working canvassing and telemarketing at my job, and several signs were telling me to make the next move to become a sales rep
-after basically asking for a promotion, and a bit of resistance, I get the job, which is commission only.
-2 weeks later, I go to texas for a week to visit my family, and have an awesome time. Chlorine drains out all purple, leaving mostly bleach blonde and slight green. :/
-find out that week in texas my dad has colon cancer, and get to see him after surgery before I leave

July:
I honestly don't remember much of this month besides more songmaking, getting good but also ripped off at job, lots of hanging out at bars and dancing and stuff, lots of karaoke, more fun summery stuff

August:
-pretty much like July
-find out Above and Beyond will be playing in October at UMass. Excitement of awesomeness and getting to see them twice in one year.

September:
-first half of month pretty much like August
-find out Above and Beyond concert is cancelled. Utter disappointment. :(
-I know that my singing is as good as it's gonna get by myself, and I take up a vocal coach from my church, and start getting old-school lessons
-sometime around this month I meet my mentor. She needed a connection to a health network I'm in, and we connect on a very spiritual level.
-reconnect with guy that was almost my roommate, through okcupid we go on a date, and pretty much jump into a relationship because the connection is so strong. So, basically, I get a boyfriend.

October:
-Some of my roommates are getting things stolen, and I'm the prime suspect. Ergo, I get kicked out. Yeah, that sucked a lot. I really felt like I belonged there. :(
-My boyfriend breaks up with me. Yeah that sucked a lot too. By the end of the week we get to an ultimatum, because he doesn't want to be with anyone else, I can't keep getting hurt like that. But, we get back together. It still sucked after that.

November:
-boyfriend and I are still having trouble. Not a wonderful thanksgiving. But there's still hope for both of us, we can feel it.
-I get my first tattoo. Big singing tiger of awesomeness on my left shoulderblade.
-we finally get a drummer at the end of the month. Sometime over the summer guitarist and I had named ourselves "King's Heart", and then by the end of summer we were "King's Queen". Official band name.
-job has been losing momentum as far as sales go, and I have had several job offers. then I get one that's for a tech start up that has potential for big money.

December:
-my boyfriend and I discover one of the biggest things hurting the relationship, and on his side, he finally gets to resolve some anger issues that he didn't know were affecting him so much.
-I take the tech start-up job. It's been craziness since.
-King's Queen gets offered to get a show in February. So, first show is in February. We get a bassist.

January 2014:
-my boyfriend and I are at a really, really good level now. We still have our fights and are still learning about each other, but it's going well.
-start-up is craziness, hopefully it will pan out soon, and I can go to Texas to visit my family and friends. Mostly my grandma.
-all childhood friends seem to be getting married.
-band is on hiatus due to life in general, but we're still going through with the show
-dad is declared cancer-free
-hair is half purple again

those are some of the important things, so.... LET'S SEE WHAT CRAZINESS HAPPENS NEXT.

Oh so many dreams..

As some of you know, I rarely have semi-normal dreams, but for the 4 (out of 5) days, I have woken up, and remembered my dream, and they were all not some crazy epic adventure. And they have normal dream interpretations that I don't have to do tons of internet searching to even begin to understand what they mean.

1. I don't really remember much now, but I'm pretty sure I was in a fancier-than-normal dress, and I decided that I was gonna dance, since no one else really was. It was super-high energy, and really fun, and then I noticed a lot of people staring, and apparently my zipper on the back of the dress started to become undone, so the strap fell, and I had pretty much a whole boob out. I didn't know what to make of the fact that aaaaaaalll of those people had just seen my boob. Much less whoever I was dancing with.

2. I had a dream I was back in a school, and the whole day was going pretty bad (I don't really remember how), and then it started raining reeeally hard outside, just as we were about to end class. I got out my umbrella, and it accidentally opened (more bad luck, uh oh), but it happened to someone else too (this person was a classmate irl, smart and pretty) and the teacher said everyone was dismissed except for us. (maybe she was superstitious?) She gave us both a children's book, and some kind of symphony score or something, and told us to find a name with "King" in front of it. I looked and looked an looked and looked, and saw the word "king" every once and a while, but with no name after it. I finally found a "King Iwahada" (or something) in a chapter, and my classmate apparently found one at the same time, but she got to the teacher before me. While I was waiting I found a "King Phillip" in the copyright or something of the symphony as well, just in case. Whatever my classmate found, she was free to go, and when I pointed mine to the teacher, she said "too easy", and I showed her the other one too, and she said it wouldn't do. So apparently this school also had a bookstore in it, and I rescanned and rescanned and rescanned both documents, and then I started scanning the entire bookstore titles and such, and I really really wanted to go home, and couldn't understand why whatever answer she found was accepted, and mine wasn't, and what would've happened if the umbrella hadn't opened, and just kept searching and searching. It sucked.

3. I was going to a bar to see my friend (ex-coworker who I was not especially close to, but for some reason in the dream, was) Rachel, as she worked there. She was a stagehand, so I had to wait a bit after I got there to actually hang out with her. In the mean time, she wanted 6 Jack and cokes. She said she would buy me a drink, and I wanted a rum and coke. I went to order them, but instead of coke, they put sprite. I personally didn't see it as a big deal, so I took all the drinks in my arms (dreamworld rules, lol) and took them to a small table not to far away from the stage back entrance. (apparently this was a bar behind a big auditorium, which had a smaller stage as well for bar purposes) She came to greet me at our small table with all the drinks, and she's like wtf, why are they all filled with sprite? so she took all of our drinks back and demanded that we get the drink we paid for. (it's not like they were out of coke or anything) After we caught up a bit, she said that intermission was over, so she had to get back to the main show. In the meantime, there was a dancefloor in the bar too, and I went to the barcounter and sat there as I watched people. Some "fluffy" guy (think of Gabriel Iglesias) waltzed over to where I was and started talking to me. In the middle, he said that he was Matt Zo, the singer of the Above and Beyond songs (really it's Richard Bedford, but, dreamrules), and I was like naaaaaw, no way. And he said, look, there's Paavo and Tony right there. He pointed and when they noticed they waved back. I was like, no shit. So we talked a bit more, then he asked me to dance, and I was kinda hesitant, and somewhere in the midst of all this all of "Matt Zo", Paavo, and Tony went up on the small stage like a real band (guitars, drums and such... even though they do electronic music, I was like, oh, they're multi-instrumentalists...) and we all enjoyed the show.

4. I don't quite remember how this dream started, but I was in a neighborhood, suburban, more towards rural, and it was my own, but the zombie apocalypse had started. I think I was running from one that was especially fast, and I broke a tree limb and swatted it across the face. I had no guns or anything (and there were none to be found) Looking for a hideout, I discovered a convenience store/ bed and breakfast / nursing home building, and noticed the signs of people slowly inching towards me with all sorts of creepy looks with fake good intentions. I got really freaked out and somehow knew they were zombies as well. I got a broomstick and bashed in this old lady's head, but it took 3-5 powerful strikes to finally squish the skull. Another old man in a frailer condition, it only took 2 bashes, but it was so gross because I feel it was softer and squishier, and I had used the same force as I had on the other one. They weren't swarming, but one or two would get up at a time and start inching towards me. I went up to a bedroom on the second floor, and barricaded the door (I think) so the old ones wouldn't get to me. In the meantime, this bedroom had it's own balcony, and there were the younger zombies from the woods trying to get up, and I would bash and bash and bash heads in, desperately. I think there was some sort of human male character that knew what was going on in the downstairs, and I think he said he'd catch up to me later. He climbed towards the balcony, and I think we were possibly talking strategy. Night fell shortly, and I fell asleep in the room (we had shut the sliding glass door towards balcony), and when the morning came, the old guy that had a soft skull was working on climbing up the balcony, and I knew I had already killed him. I also didn't want to bash his head in again, but I knew I needed to. Then there were more coming and more coming, and I was getting really desperate at this point. And then a team of 3 came in, and this one guy especially, he came with a (demo kit from work on the outside) kit with tougher weapons (assembled steel) and said I didn't have to worry as much. Suddenly, I felt a great sense of relief, and a kind of "my hero" feeling washed over me.

Small Moments

Oh, so much happening right now.

-gonna start training for sales on Tuesday
-finished our first song with the whole band last night
-had an amazing moving night at Royale Boston with Above and Beyond
-got a rainy day off, so gonna get to laundry and clean my room and such
-found an anime/rave friend
-going back home to visit in 2 mos
-no injuries this week, yay!
-things are all finally coming together. trying my best to live in the moment.

[TO STOP BLOG MUSIC, SCROLL TO BOTTOM]

I'm gonna expand on why the concert was so memorable real quick.
A. Here's some footage.

B. The song that got me into these guys was "On a Good Day". It has helped me through some tough times. I was in the front because we got there early, and I had been waiting about 3 years to see them. The night was already awesome with some good tracks, and I almost teared up when they brought up the Boston terrorist thing. After that I put up a heart shape at Tony, he gave one back, blew me a kiss, and I did the same. Then again when they played "Love is not enough" because it's such a strong and emotional song. I figured they weren't gonna play the song I really wanted because it was a bit of an older song, but when the crowd asked for one more song, and they started playing a slower version, I was beginning to tear up, but when they put on the screen "this song is about..." that's all I got to, because in my mind I was thinking "I know what this song is about." and just started crying. I had to compose myself shortly afterwards for a bit though, because they started going around shaking peoples hands and autographing stuff. I got to look Paavo in the eyes, shake his hand and thank him. He looked back into my eyes, and I knew he understood. It was a good, long, moment. Then Tony came the other way, and I also got to thank him, but not as long. After that I went back to wiping my eyes and singing along when they got back up. I'm glad someone else recorded this, because there was no way I could.

btw, the prompt said (from pausing the video) "this song is about how we overcome even the most difficult times"

In summary, it was a night to remember. If this was a year or two ago I don't think I would've been so affected, because I am finally starting to experience more emotionally now, and things are starting to come together.

One last note:

Crazy girl. Crazy week.

I don't think I can even start to cover all that has happened this week. I honesty don't remember what exactly happened Monday or Tuesday at all. ha ha ha. I know that Monday I decided I should start my day with doing situps and crunches, but after that I couldn't stand still, so I did some karate blocks in my room, then went shoeless and braless outside and jogged, did knee-highs, jumping jacks, jump rope, butt-kicks, grapevine, karate stuff, and then attempted 30 cartwheels, and landed on 4 of them. Woo. It felt great, and liberating, and I really should start my day off with crunches again tomorrow.

So then, Wednesday. Worked a morning shift at BBW, then bought some awesome stuff at hot topic, then got my face made up at Sephora, and then I went to my guitarist's place for practice at 5. When I got there, there was our usual friend, and then a kinda drunk guy. One of the drunks that is negative, and thinks either everything he says is offensive, or anything we say is possibly offensive. Noooot great. I was trying to have real practice, but gave up on it after about an hour though. We still had a good time, and did work on a few bits of some songs. Later on, we decided to go on a mild hike not too far from his house. Long story short, after we got up there, it took us two hours to get him down, and it was starting to get cold. Not pleasant at all. I even dragged his dead weight 5 ft by myself trying to convince him to move. And once he got halfway and fell again, I was gonna drag him down all the way until our friend stopped me. Then this asshole decides to suckerpunch guitarist, which is then countered by a very square punch to the face and his ass is on the ground. Aaaaanyway, after breaking up the fight and taking his limping ass down the mountain, finally the biggest part of the ordeal is over. Usual friend apologized for bringing him, she didn't know he was gonna be like this. I treat his giant gush in his forehead with neosporin and get toilet paper so it'll stop bleeding. Wheee.

Thursday. Go to work, not too many leads. Meh. Then go to guitarist's place for practice. Which my company happens to be doing a demonstration in. So, by the end, I go and join to watch. Afterwards, informing the sales guy I want to do his job, we go out for a drink, I get a bit of insight, and then go back to my guitarist's place, and we chill.

Friday: work, and then I'm so tired from that, I end up just reading (abt music industry and such), and just chill. With insomnia may I add.

Saturday: work, no leads, eugh. But then I was gonna go somewhere originally that I don't remember, so I decided to stop at a coffee shop in Chicopee. I got a text from my guitarist that he was gonna meet with the drummer, and I wanted to join along, so after deliciously authentic made coffee, I went to the drummer's house. Me, the drummer, guitarist, and rhythm guitarist that was also there, jam for about an hour. Since it was so awesome, the band deal is sealed. And my voice was getting worn out from the smoke in the room and the alcohol I was drinking, so I decided to stop there for the night. But then they jammed for another 4 hours. Twas awesome.

Sunday: sleep in, immediately go on hike, hike in rain for 3 hours, get lotsa pictures, hang up house laundry, recovery time.

Monday: don't really feel like going to work at all, but come in of course, and through my first hour I decide I really should just go straight to sales. Work, and then once boss comes back into office, I ask him about it, we discuss it, and he tells me to tell my GM about it, and that he said it was ok. Also that we need a female sales rep. YAY! so, this is going to be a big change.

Aaaaand that was my week. Craziness.

It goes both ways

One hell of a night leads to one hell of a day. Remember that, kids.

Friday:
-work in West Hartford. very frustratingly unproductive day. meh.
-feeling like exploring later in evening after rain.
-hear commotion coming from town or Smith campus, decide to investigate and go on a hike on mill river trail, so invite roommates
-we talk on porch about the state of the world for 30 min or so, then head out
-walk on the moonless path with doggy in tow, talk with some people around a fire, roomie tries out the river, cold.
-decide to head into town after all, and once there, pool.
-roomie with dog decides to head home, other two and I go to the watering hole, where it's super crowded, so.. no pool
-and I run into a mutual/fb/but I kinda know in real life friend there and say "hi" for a bit before we all head out
-other roomies decide to head home, and right before leaving downtown I decide to stay by myself
-go to Sam's to hear people on open mic, enjoy a spinach feta pizza and a smuttynose porter (soo delicious)
-as I'm walking downtown while trying to pick a bar to go to, some guys say I should pass them up so I don't feel like a creeper, and then one of them asks me, "hey, I'm gonna think of a number, 1-10, guess what it is!" two seconds later as I walk in front, I guess "7". then I hear "FUCK. dammit that was it, you're good." I said "the next number you were gonna guess is prolly 4". He's like, "3. close."
-decide to check if Iron Horse has enough of a show left to see, but the guy said there was less than half, but I couldn't get a half price ticket, so I step out
-I look around downtown, see what's going on. go into hinge, meh, step out.
-check out Bishop's to see what's up. I see a poster for Chocolate Orange that's for May 10th. I'm like, "hey, what's Chocolate Orange?" One says, "it's a funk group of 7 members, they're semi famous around there. really fun." I was like, "thought it might be a fondue party or something." One says, "yeah, you gotta bring your own skewer though" and I was like, "well, I brought chopsticks. those'll work". So we go on about chocolate and fruits for a bit. and then I asked, "so how much is left of the act?" they said "they just started up again, so prolly half." and I say, "how much is it to get in?" they say, "$5". I was like," well if there's half a show left can I pay $2.50?" one says, "if you do the robot, I'll let you get in for free" the other guy agrees. I do the robot, and get in. :)
-after acquiring a rum and coke, I head out to the dance floor, and then I think I see Chris that I used to hike with at UMOC when I still went there from a few years back, because I knew he was back in town. So I glance (more like stare to figure out if it's really him) a few more times, and then I go over and am like, "Chris?" and then kinda go away figuring nah, it's not possible, and then he goes, "LIZ??"
-then follows big embrace, lots of drink cheers, intro to Dan, and the rest of the night is amazing high energy drunken dancing
-Dan lives on the other side of Noho, so we separate at downtown
-then I go to the river trail again and attempt to go down the trail without a light. which worked for half the way, and I knew there would be rocks and tree roots soon, so turn on cell phone flashlight. quiet, lone walk home

this all ends at about 3 am. I set my alarm for 7:30 am since I'm not sure exactly when we're starting work, but figure some time between 9-10a

Saturday:
-wake up, text to find out what time. 9:30 in Springfield.
-snooze button, sleep, snooze button, shower, toast, change of clothes for BBW shift later.
-get started in Chicopee, cloudy, muggy, I only get like 1 lead.
-we have to get out of neighborhood by about 11:30 cuz we're pretty much done with the drop, and Chris (canvas manager) saw some folks (with a stick up their ass) that prolly reported us to the cops. (we have permits and things which are totally legit)
-so, as we're leaving the neighborhood, at a stop sign, cop is on the other side, and then he does a u-ey after we proceed. even though there's no lights on us or anything, we figure we should pull over to play it as safe as possible. we have permits and licenses ready, and I have my registration ready. other cop car comes and swoops in the front diagonally, so we're boxed in like we're criminals trying to run or something. cop on each side. on Chris' side, checked out permit, said we're good. on my side, cop is saying my car is suspicious since it's out of state plates (btw, this neighborhood is less than 5 miles from an air force base, and my magnet on the back of the car says "my dog and I support the navy", really?) he says if I don't convert my license and registration in 30 days, it's illegal, and if he stops me again and I haven't had it done, he's going to arrest me, take me downtown, and put me in jail. really, what have I done to deserve this freaking harrassment? guy's being a douche with a stick up his ass.
-so, we call the police station, double check with them, report what happened, etc. complete BS.
-hit one more neighborhood, have to call it a day after it starts getting windy and raining.
-so, work ends at noon instead of around 3. my work shift at BBW doesn't start until 5.
-figure I should just wander in the mall instead of wasting gas and going home and back. so..buy new white shirt and undershirt for work since my previously white shirt is now minty green. (something I put in laundry was a "hand wash only" so, green dye on everything.
-catch up with Amy from target, cuz we used to talk a little when I worked at Sbux.
-eventually work starts, busy day, conversion good, yahda yahda. btw, at BBW we have to wear dressy-like shoes, and I either wear sandals, flats, or cowboy boots. thank god I wore cowboy boots today, because...
-as we're closing, a tower I was pulling with candles on it starts to topple, I try to catch it, but not before 15 YES, FIFTEEN, candles topple down on me and break EVERYWHERE all across the front of the store. I have worked at BBW for about 2 years now, and not ONCE have I broken a single candle or wallflower, (glass messy things) and in 10 seconds, I break that record, AND conversion for the day. (sorry BBW crew...) Out of the 15 candles, 14 damaged.
-luckily, as the candles were falling, I felt probably 6 of them that actually hit my body, but none of them broke on me. One of them fell directly on the top of my foot. Which hurt a lot, but since I was wearing my cowboy boots: 1. less impact due to leather and socks 2. no exposed skin, which probably prevented the candle from breaking, and cutting my foot, or even breaking from my foot. (it's definitely bruised and a little swollen, but would've been MUCH worse if not for the  boots) 3. I was wearing REAL cowboy boots, so if I was wearing my look-alikes that I had in my trunk, more damage to foot
-aaaaaand then closing.

So:
-right now I want to numb my body with alcohol (but I won't, I'm just going to read manga, watch anime, and go to sleep). I fell down the other day from a dresser and chair, with one leg caught IN the chair, onto a wood floor, so right ankle severely bruised for about 5 days now. top of left foot now severely bruised. I have also been driving for about 5 hours and walking about 22 hours (estimated minimums) out of the last 48 hours.
-could've been better, could've been worse, I'm counting my blessings each day

Loop-de-loop

So, what's new in my world? Not much, the usual. But things are going pretty well overall.
-Doing canvassing, so enjoying the (mostly) beautiful weather outside. Got a sale today from a lady I talked to yesterday with a cute Cairn Terrier (yay, not being fired!)
-Guitarist and I are working on some songs, so it's gonna be awesome. We already have groupies! Yay! Goal: Take over Northampton. >:D
-Getting arrangements to go back to Texas (mid July fyi) for about a week
-Housing sitch is still good, but about half the house is moving out within the next few months. It's crazy! I'm gonna miss them. :(
-Phone texting randomly stopped working, so now I have a new (better) sms app. Thank you android!
-and meh, guys are complicated, what else is new?
-I'm starting to get some color back in my skin! It's gonna be a farmer's tan, but the sun feels nice. :D
-skinned knee is almost back to normal, yay! however, my ankle's still a bit sore from falling off a dresser and chair onto a wood floor...
-payday is tomorrow (thank God). I've been living off of scraps. I need to apply for food stamps, ha ha

So... that's it for now! I think I'm going to make ANOTHER blog, purely with rants and psychotic almost-depressive circular thoughts. Don't look for it, ha ha.

BYE!

Future Change

I was at the Dirty Truth in Noho on Saturday with my roomies, when suddenly a ginormous overwhelming feeling came over me. All of the sudden, I had the feeling that a big change was coming; like something that would change a big part of who I am. It would happen in the next few months. And I believe it's already begun. I'm not really going to disclose details at this point, but since saturday there have already been 4 small, but notable changes. Things that simply don't normally happen to me. And I feel there is all the more to come. Even my fortune cookie said "throw caution to the wind". Apparently I'm going to be on one heck of a ride. Those that know about what I've been going through in the past few years know that it's been crazy, and if this is even a bigger turning point than all that, then I best buckle down so I can enjoy the thrill ride. For those of you who know what I'm talking about, I believe it will also involve bringing back the missing feeling. We'll see what awaits at the end of the tunnel, but basically as for what happens in the next few months I report, don't be surprised by anything. It's going to be crazy, turbulent, and wonderful. I can feel it.

The mostly inclusive ginormous update!

Alright, I'm wondering if I should do this in a timeline format, or a good/bad format. I guess I'll combine a bit of both. Gonna keep it short and sweet.

December:

-moved to new apt in Springfield
-- the house was super nice, but the situation turned out horrible
-- had to get rid of my rat (but I was allergic anyway, so wasn't too bad), and had to send my dog back to texas
-few days after I moved I got fired
--over a small mistake. first offense, so could collect unemployment, but was expecting to have that job for another year
-collaborate with songwriter. it's meh.

January:

-looking for new job and new apt
--found a new job (telemarketing) around the middle. First office job i've had, but that pay is the same as my last job, but for much less work and stress. Also, coworkers are awesome.
--found a new apartment, awesome housemates, but of course I was still on my toes due to previous housing situations

February:
-job is still going well
-apartment is fan-freaking-tastic (total honesty, no sarcasm)
-tried out for the voice in NYC. Long trip. Cold, wet weather. Didn't get a callback, but it's alright. Rest of weekend was awesome.
-songwriter thinks I quit on him without saying anything, and I take that as I sign that I really should move on
-SNOWSTORM. this entails a blizzard hike.
-get on cyclesavvy committe

March
-job and apartment are same (awesomesauce)
-get into a band. two weeks later band drops me. oh well.
-St. Patty's day adventure
-I turn 22
--work all day on birthday, not much going on, but I feel loved. lol.
-get a snake (his name is Goober)
-I have spring fever SO bad
-get an Ipod
-get on Easthampton artwalk subcommittee
-get a skateboard

Future plans:

-collaborate w/electronic producer or band
-bike to work when it gets warm
-learn:
-- securties exam book
-- japanese
-- skateboarding
-- how to ride a road bike
-- more spanish
-- guitar
-trail running
-go to Texas
-road trip???

So, that catches up the biggest parts of my last few months. If you want any details, just message me.

resonant anime moment...

well, I watched this series a few years back, and it's not the best anime in the world, but I think it's interesting and well done. anyway, this moment and his response are pretty much what I go through. and it's just kind of a resonating thing for me to think about. I just feel like I have all of these skills or talents that are good, but don't really get me anywhere, so it's like I might as well not have them in the first place sort of thing. So.... yeah. youtube clip time.

sonic drink mixes

in humor of search result traffic sources to my random blog, I have decided to share what I think would be lovely as sonic drink mixes with alcohol.

Whiskey - sweet tea with raspberry, sweet tea with lemon, root beer with lemon, root beer with peach

Tequila - any limeade slushes, sprite with raspberry, sprite with coconut water (add lime if you wish), coke with sprite and lime, coke with sprite and lemon-raspberry (I swear it's good), and root beer with lime

Rum - root beer with lemon or lime, root beer and sprite mix, coke and coconut water flavor, coke and lemon, coke and cherry

Vodka - cherry limeade, coke and cherry, sprite and cherry

ha ha, have fun y'all!

Persistence

So, a few days ago I actually had more to update about, but I kinda forgot about half of that... sorry. XD

I went to my bf's place last weekend, near Lowell, and spent a day in Boston. It ended up raining, and being really late, but we did get a great lunch, and I got a cute figurine, wallet, acrylic paint varnish, and I was able to ride the subway (T) for the first time. ^-^  We also got to see Brave the opening night, which I personally don't believe was one of Pixar's best, however the film was still Pixar quality.

Dave's is going well, and I'm making a bit more per hour, so even though I'm not getting as many hours, I'm still making it by. (If not by just a little...). However I wanna save up for some Abiliene's (cowboy boots) so I can have casual/riding boots. I rode Willow (the horse) by myself for the first time last week, and rode him again towards the end of this week, and I'm getting the hang of it. (he likes one-hand reining better....)

My best friend is back in town, however I haven't seen her yet, so hopefully I'll get to see her this upcoming weekend.

Also, I will be submitting a mini-manuscript to a publisher, so hopefully they can take care of all the details so I don't have to spend all the money on getting started myself. Wish me luck! It's hard to take down a ready-to-go book and get it to an even more concise version though....

I believe that's it for now!

Good and crazy is a nice combo

Sooooooo many things have been going on in the past week. All good though, so let me tell you about it. I'll go by days, since that'll make it a little less crazy, lol.

Mon: Get asked if I wanna go to Philly by my friend Katelynn, who wants to go see The Wanted (a british boy band, specifically to see Jay) and I decide I should get out of town.

Tues: Find out my bf, that was supposed to have been in Woburn until June, was gonna drive 2 hrs just to see me on thursday. Happiness.

Wed: Normal, good close.

Thurs: Apartment cleaning, Nam comes into town, we spend all day outside and then eating lots and lots of food (well me anyway, lol), floorset during the night.

Fri: Nam leaves :( Later that afternoon I FINALLY get to ride Willow (the horse at my new apt, which I've been wanting to ride for weeks now), good close @BBW.

Sat: Sleep in (thank goodness), work close. Help hispanic lady and her mom find her husband and kids after the mall had closed. Go to Noho w/Amanda and Brittany, return and get to sleep around 3 am

Sun: Open @Sbux, pick Katelynn up, we set off at 5 and go to NJ and stay @ my uncle's house.

Mon: go to Philly, spend most of day wandering around, get dinner w/her friend and sleep in hotel, missing a flight the boys were supposed to come in on Tues....

Tues: go to boys' hotel, do a little meet + greet (they're all very nice, and gorgeous), go to concert hall, where the tickets at that time were 50 bucks, but we were only gonna see one act, and I wasn't gonna spend that, so while Lauren and Katelynn were at a concert, I went to a bar by the Phillies' game @ Xfinity live, and went into the PBR (Pro Bull Riding) bar, where the second song they played was "God Bless Texas". I was meant to be there, obviously. Right before I met up w/the girls I rode a mechanical bull, and had fun w/that. During the bull ride the song playing was "Jose Cuervo" (also meant to be), and then we all went to the airport to see the boys off. End up staying the night in Jersey @ Slaur's place.

Wed: Leave Jersey @ 7a, get stuck in traffic in NYC, and we make it to Mass by abt 1pm. I close that night.

Thurs: Decide that it will be the last day I attempt to call Dave's (for a job), but this time I get directly connected to Dave, and then have an interview @ 2pm. It goes very well. :) He tell's me I'll get a call the next day, if not that afternoon. My new phone (HTC One X) comes in (my phone has been horrible lately. During my trip it didn't work almost at all...) after being out of stock at the warehouse for a few weeks. Then, a 2 1/2 hr workout, then hangout.

Fri:  General Manager calls me, and we set up an interview for 2pm as well, and we basically talk for about 2 hrs, and I meet the asst manager as well as one of their long-term employees. I should be a part of their team on a part-time basis for a while before getting a full time position. I'll be training at Hadley, where Dennis (GM) said they were all awesome peeps.

That has been my good crazy last week. :)  Coming up... one of my best friends, Masha, will be coming back to Amherst in June, and I haven't seen her in about a year and a half, so I'm excited. Also, Nam will be coming back to visit in June, and we're gonna watch the premiere of Brave. I'll be moving in to my apartment this week (which, I was supposed to have done these last 2 days, but... that hasn't exactly happened....) Well, there you go, you are filled in. :D

Aaaaaaaalllllllllrighty Then

Soooo, there's a lot catch up on that has been happening in the last month or so.

I have my art hanging in the Springfield starbucks (except my supernova, which will be put up there soon), and next month it will be hanging in the noho starbucks. I still have to work on getting that painting done for the mexican restaurant. I got sick the week I was gonna do it, so now I have to catch up.

Speaking of being sick, somehow I caught a cold, and now that I'm over most of it I still have a pretty bad cough some of the time. However, I still haven't felt well enough to go to the gym. What this means is that since I'm expending less energy, I have a very decreased appetite, and since I'm still going to work and stuff, this may be the final step I need for my bikini body. ;) So, as soon as I get back to my usual 4x a week gym schedule, I'm going to eat either cereal or vitamin protein shake for breakfast, start bringing my own lunches to work, and try to get my meals with real food.

There's a guy who has recently waltzed into my life. We're not officially bf/gf yet, buuut, it'll prolly happen. I met him about 2 weeks ago, and this is the fastest I've ever gotten to know/have interest in someone. It's super wierd to me how fast it's all happening, but people call it "natural". I still don't get it, but we'll see what happens. :) Among many things, he is a runner, so hopefully he'll go to the Warrior Dash with me. (since I was talking about all that training, lol.) Unfortunately, he lives in the dorms at UMass, which means that he moved out yesterday from Amherst and will be in Woburn (or something) until June when we're gonna meet up to see Brave. Grrr.

As far as work has been going, I was really, seriously close to quitting a few weeks ago. But, since I'm moving this month and have other bills going around that I have to pay for, I decided to not quit just yet. However, I have recently applied for Manager / Asst. Manager at a pet store, and after submitting my resume, I got a reply from the owner about coming in some time to chat. I really really would love this position, and think it would be a perfect fit for me. The only part that's nervewrecking is waiting for that email or call as to when we could actually meet face-to-face. Pray for me!

I will also be moving this month to Granby. It's kinda off the side between Amherst and Holyoke (Rt. 202), but it's a little more towards the country. There is a horse in the backyard I will be exercising often, and the landlady says I can bring Mushu. :) Soooo happy! I also got a really really good deal on rent, so this will save me at least 100 a month.

I believe that's it....may not be, but I'll update soon.

One of my latest faves. :)

So, updates!

-found an apartment in Granby (a little out to the country), where I'll be renting for a really good rate (all utilities included), and will be able to exercise a horse, and have permission to have my dog as well! Excited! This won't be til June, and I won't have Mushu back til August, but still, I think it'll be nice. This is a little farther out for me from where I work, but since I know I'll be at home a good amount of the time, might as well make it as nice as possible.

-went to a Primerica builder's weekend yesterday and today, and it was really inspiring. lots to do this week!

-gotta get my food stamps and taxes all filed

-concept is finalized for the Mexican restaurant painting, will hopefully be done in 2 weeks!

-my relationship with Starbucks is on the rocks (sigh), but there are waaaaaaaay too many details to go into that. for now, I'm not gonna quit, because logically I need the benefits and all that.

-my goal is 4 days a week for the gym. also, I'm a black card member to planet fitness now, so I get to bring guests as well as visit other gym locations. I'm almost awesomely in shape. Just a few more things to trim down!

-the party didn't exactly happen, since only one person showed up, but I had a little get-together on tuesday that was fun, and I'm hoping this thurs or saturday to have a few peeps over

-I plan on going to Texas in early August, but still working out the details on that. I'll update as things change.

I believe that's it for now!

Whiskey Tortoise

Well hello there. So, new things:

-finally got my glasses. I am now officially a nerd.
-finally got a starbucks shirt. With languages.
-am going to have to move out in the summer instead of just renewing, because the landlord won't be renting out at all anymore. Yup. Moving again.
-the party is still on. :)
-work is still crazy
-unfortunately failed my life insurance license test(by 7 questions), but will be taking it again soon. I just have to pass an online test with an 80 first...
-went to Philly and St. Louis and had an amazing time. My cousin is married to a good man, and I got to see a lot of my family and have a little down time.

Just a Little Bit

I apologize for not keeping up with my blog for the last two months. Crazy as usual. Anyway, it's going to take waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long to catch someone up, so let's go straight to current.

-now have a third job (working on getting financial and life license)
-currently have a stomach virus (sucks)
-still working on the whole poetry/art thing
-my business cards came in. :)
-going to my cousin's wedding in St. Louis in march!
that's all you need to know for now XD

I'll continue with a normal pace like I used to.
