The Longest 2 Days of My Life

Christmas, and the day after, 2008; also known as the longest days of my life. So, Christmas I wake up @ 7 a.m after going to bed 3 am that morning. We have to be @ my bro's house @ 8:30 to open presents, but that doesn't happen. Christmas celebration yahda, yahda, til 5 pm. So, then I have to be @ work before about 10 p.m. We get sidetracked before we leave Corpus, so leaving at 7 pm, we head off to go back towards houston. I get to work @ about 11, then it takes me an hour to feed + walk dogs, so it's past midnight when I'm acutally done. I get home, take a shower, and get to bed @ abt 2 a.m. I left my phone on in case something happened at work, and lo and behold, at 5 a.m. my boss calls b/c i have to take a dog the emergency clinic IMMEDIATELY. The dog had a seizure or something, so hurrying to the clinic, I pray the whole way the dog's ok, barely get into acceptable clothes (not for a work day b/c I was supposed to come in at noon) and get the dog to the clinic on time for them to do something. Yay! it made it in time, and I wait 2 hrs in the clinic. So, boss calls and says to head back to the store b/c she has to transport the dog to gulf coast center for treatment, and the store opens @ 8, so get the mess that the newbies made when I was gone somewhat fixed up. Day goes by, and I'm giving baths and walking dogs in soffees and a t-shirt. I decide I need a break, so, I call in a newbie, leave at 1:30, and hopefully come back @ 3, but then I sleep for 2 hrs straight, so I get back @ 4 and get needed supplies for the store. Work doesn't end until 8 after the 3rd round of dog-walking, so I FINALLY get to go home and get some needed rest, ready to get back to work @ noon the next day. Yes, I believe that those were the two longest days of my life. I worked 22 hrs in 2 days. Which made a handsome sum of 15o for a paycheck of working 2 1/2 days. Whoot. SO, there you have it, i'm not your avg teenager. Happy Holidays!

Copyright Infringement

Copyright infringement notices irk me. They really do. Yes, I used a copyrighted song and series for my own original work. I'm sorry! By putting whatever material out there, you agreed to have it admired/used for things, but noooooo, is everybody supposed to email the institutions just to ask if we can use it? grr. I've made about 82 videos, and only 10 can be shown b/c they haven't been caught yet. It REALLY irks me. Even if I place a disclaimer on the video, no matter, I said it was mine! (yeah, not really, I said it was made by whatever material and I just did editing)

Bay City

So, I just went to a tournament. I entered in 5 events and advanced in 3 to semis, but I didn't make it to finals. I think I have a curse. No matter how well I do, there will be that one kid that pops up b/c they're cross entered and rearrange the order. There will always be that one judge who shares their discrepency about the one point I thought was superfluous in my performance. No matter what I do, there's just always something. Maybe I'll just join choir...
J/K, I would never abandon the core. "Avon, the core is like an institution, you can't just join and not participate!" - Sabrina

My Job

You know what, I like my job. Most people always think about the downsides of their jobs and such, but I'm quite the satisfied employee when it comes to mine. I'm basically the manager, which is pretty cool b/c I'm 17. I just rearranged the demented piece of wood we call a corkboard; it finally has organization. With a little work and $3, I finally made the reading of the board plausible for avg citizens. *yay* I sold 5 animals today and it was a sunday, which rarely ever happens. There are more details I could share w/u abt the job, but that would take a while. To sum it up: my job actually made my day.

But why a sonic drink?

Why a sonic drink you may ask? One in this world not familiar with peculiar tastes displayed by one such as myself would hardly refrain from asking this question. The inquiry however has been presented, though absent in previous thought, of why such a name is chosen for a blog. A sonic drink composed in the mind of Liz consists of various ingredients to give a just-so poignant taste to Liz's delight, such as a strawberry-lemon-sprite-coca-cola, a lime-peach-root beer, or a grape-dr.pepper-pepsi. In the conundrum of Liz's mind is a plethera of questions, ideas, misconceptions, and randomness which will hopefully be represented in the following postings of this blog. Enjoy!
